BRANDSTUDIO PRESS SUMMER 2010 COLLECTION

After many sleepless but productive nights, I'm proud to announce our new titles for the summer 2010. This year we've gone global; Austria, Spain, Canada, Mexico, China and the US are well represented. I'd love to say I planned it this way but I didn't, it just happened, I'm glad it did and I think you will be happy too.

The books are here and we will start shipping them on Thursday July 22nd on a first-come-first-served basis. Obviously, some books are more popular than others and most of them are in limited numbers so don't wait too long or else you'll miss out.

San Diego
this year the Brandstudio Press booth will be located on the next isle over, on i-3 instead of h-3. If you plan on attending the con, stop by and say hello. Have a wonderful summer and I'll be seeing some of you in San Diego!

For those who won't make it to San Diego, click on the store links and get your books. Click on the images to view larger pics.

More books to follow soon so check this space often.

Abrazos!

PORTADAS/COVERGIRLS By Fernando Vicente

From award winner Spanish illustrator Fernando Vicente. This is Fernando's first ever book published in the USA, he's already a household name in Spain and in Europe, I've no doubt he will conquer the Americas.

This volume is taller and wider than our other books, for a big reason: his paintings! Page after page of gorgeous women painted in his unmistakeable style.

IMAGINARY PLACES By Marco Bucci

I'm horrible at doing backgrounds, so I avoid them like the plague for the most part, unfortunately, sometimes you just have to draw them and what's worse: paint the fucking things!. That is until I saw Canadian background animation designer/painter Marco Bucci come up with these amazing landscapes. In this book he gives us a step-by-step painting tutorial plus a word or two regarding his advice on color theory (made easier to understand for dumb bastards like me) Totally worth checking out just for fun, but watch out, If you're not careful you might learn something.

Hard cover, 8.5x12 inches, 48 pages, full-color, full bleed, sewn pages.

BIRDS AND PENCILS By Florian Satzinger

For those of you who don't know who Florian Satzinger is (and there aren't many of you) He's an Austrian animator designer/illustrator and all around super friendly guy with a talent approximately the size of New Jersey. This is also his first ever book published in America but not his last one., and what a beauty this book is. luckily for me, I don't need to describe the book, see for yourselves and order it before it disappears. Don't email me a couple of months from now saying "hey man, do you still have some copies of "Birds & Pencils?".

Consider yourself warned!

Hello,
I just would like to know how you get your artwork published in a book? I'm an artist too, and that's one of my goals.

hello sir,
i am a caricaturist, but i wanna learn figure drawing for comic book, please email me.your id at ramanjit76@gmail.com i wanna talk to you its urgent.please please.

Process Junkie said...

Dear Ramanjit,

If you want to learn figure drawing for comics you don't need to talk to me, I don't work in comics.

It may be a language thing, sometimes real meaning gets lost or misconstrued but I don't know what you mean by "your ID"

If it has to do with chatting, you must know I hate on-line chatting, I don't do chatting or texting. Sorry.

You can ask me any questions you want through the blog and I'd be more than happy to answer to the best of my answering ability. Just don't ask me stupid questions. People say "there are no stupid questions" but they're wrong (and stupid)

Anyways, whatever you need from me cannot be too urgent, I promise you. Life is fast but art is sort of slow and painful.

Overwhelming! Don't know where to begin!

Yes I do. Love the ducks! Great sense of fun, lovely bountiful shapes. Can ducks be sexy? :)
