Carnaval in São Paulo & Rio

Winter in New York has got me by the balls so I'm going to have some fun in the motherfuckin' sun.

Yup, that's where I'll be for a couple of weeks. I need a vacation from my permanent vacation so I'm going where the whether is warm and the people are warmer.

First stop SP to visit my dearest friends Ricardo Antunes, Hiro Kawahara, Montalvo Machado and a bunch of other talented dudes and dudettes whose names I can't even pronounce correctly.

I'll tell you all about it when I get back.

"Rain? I don't mind
Shine? the weather's fine"

Rain in warm weather is better than rain in freezing weather :) I'll see you in Sao Paulo!
Bring your sketchbook.

Dramiro: Gracias, carnal! Te veré en otoño.

aintshakespeare: Thanks for the comment!

If you don't mind about the rain, so... WELCOME!!! I hope you can enjoy sunny days over here also!

About my sketchbook... I would take it, if I could draw like you. Can I bring my brother instead?
He is THE artist of the family! :D

You don't have to draw like me. Bring yours and bring your brother too.

Hi Alberto!

You were missed in our Bistecão Ilustrado last night!

But never mind, we will keep you busy in your stay in São Paulo, show you some incredible places, some real nice folks who are crazy to meet you, and I'm sure you and your wife will enjoy a real good time in Brazil.

Looking forward to seeing you!

Sorry I missed you last night. I was so looking forward the Bistecão Ilustrado :(

I can't wait to meet you guys and do some live sketching.

Montalvo Machado said...

Never mind, we're gonna set one up just for you!

Chances are that place will get crowded like never before. :-)

Live sketching till we drop!

My portuguese is a little rusty but I hear art is a universal language :)

hahaha, enjoy man. Did a little escape from the North East my self. Enjoying vegas, and So Cal the past week, visiting friends, and the good times.

You should have stayed a little longer, it's brutal outside!

btw I blew the last expo, my drawings did not get to me in time for hanging (I had them shipped from the last show I did in Toronto) I'll catch you next time, if you still want to have me.

Gorgeous illo of the girl gripping her feet.
Love it!

Thanks, man! Not nearly as nice as your new 'Color Blast!

Have a great time in Brazil.
Love your Art.
By he way where can i found brandstudio art books around Atlanta, GA or charlotte, NC ?

Process Junkie said...

Thanks Sergio!

Unfortunately there are no stores in the South interested in carrying our books. I'd suggest you move to California or to New York. :p

Seriously though, If you're concerned about the shipping costs, this is what we can do: you buy 5 or more books and I'll ship them to Atlanta or to Charlotte free of charge.

If that interests you, just email me at:

Wonderful to catch up on your work again...

Brilliant stuff...

Hi Alberto,

I realise that the truth is out there somewhere.
But will you ever let us in how you draw hair like you did for this lovely girlie with the super expressive face?
(She's looking right trough me. :) )
