ASK ME NO QUESTIONS . . . .

. . . . And I'll tell you no lies.

Even if I told you what kept me away from my blog in the past two months you wouldn't believe me.

Let's just say I went hiking in the Adirondacks and got lost.

At any rate, it's good to be back so I can stop being cryptic.

THREE THINGS
First thing I have to say is: THANK YOU for buying our books and for supporting the artists who were featured this year in the "Summer Collection".

Secondly, I am happy to announce that a good chunk of our books are now officially being sold in France and Spain. "Pulp's Comics" in Paris is our official distributor in France, so if you live in France and wanted to buy our books but were discouraged by the ridiculously high overseas shipping charges, call or visit Pulp's Comics, here is the info and a couple of pics. If you don't see what you want, ask them to order it for you; if I have it, I'll send it to them.

Third: I will attend New York's Big Apple Comicon next week so if you're in NY, stop by my table and say hello.

Abrazos,
—Alberto

Saludos Fabian! gracias por escribir.

Mike: lots of personal stuff happening all at once, I'm not as skilled at multi-tasking as I once thought. It's all good, though. Thanks for your concern, I'll be posting more often for sure.

Dramiro:Shhhhhh! Estoy viajando incognito :)

Suerte

Hi there Alberto, I was enjoying the free downloadable draing books and two of the links for two Andrew Loomis books (Drawing the Head and Hands and Figure Drawing for All Its Worth) are not working. Could you PLEASE provide alternate working links for these books? I would truly appreciate it!
Thanks,
Alan N.

Keelmy: Thanks for stopping by, old friend. Hope to see you soon.

Ben Newman:Thank you, Ben. Keep up the good work!

Cup of Noodles: Sorry, mate. I don't have updated links. I am not the one hosting those files, That post is at least two years old.

I'm sure if you google them you can easily find fresh links leading to the same books.

No problem, I was able to find the books online as you said. Thanks again for introducing me to these fabulous resources.

I know Pulp Comics (in fact it was called Album Comics before). I'm going to Paris soon and I'll surely visit them to get some of your last publications.

Hey Mathieu!

Good to hear from you. Say hi to my friends at Pulp's. they have a couple of your books as well, you're in good company.

Seriously, you are one of the few artists that make drawing just plain fun and you are a great inspiration for this medium.

And uhm, your chicks are hot!

Maxwell said...

Heynow! Instant fan by the way. Just wanted to letcha know that on brandstudiopress.com the photos don't show up of the books. Just lettin' ya know is all. Have a great day and thanks for the blog.

Process Junkie said...

Thanks, Butterfish.
That's the main idea. If you're not inspired or at least having some fun, then why bother? :)

Maxwell Thank you for the heads up. I'll see what I can do to fix the problem.

International -What! Congratulations! And great to see you back!
I need to get paid so I can splurge on the deliciousness that are these books!

I may be late to the party on this question but are you planning on someday doing a podcast of how you work. I don't mean a step by step but a discussion of the mental process you go through for a piece.

Was curious and I would find it helpful. I love hearing about processes of other artists.

It would also save me having to get you drunk and making you give up your secrets through blackmail.

I know Photoshop and have an account with photos.com

Just sayin' :)

Process Junkie said...

Swain: I love France, especially French women.

ButterfishManiac: Maybe we can have a discussion on this here blog, you ask the questions, I will answer them with drawings or such. I don't know how to do this live without film. we'll invite everyone to ask questions, I'm all for that.

When it comes to drawing, I have no secrets, you can't get me drunk 'cause I don't drink.

Shannon, Javi Garcia : We're going Global, Baby! Heh, heh! We have received tons of orders from Spain and France since I posted the news. Thanks to our friends in Barcelona, Spain and Belgium, I'll be personally visiting the stores in the summer 2010, I'll make sure to announce so we could get together and have a sketching session in Europe.

Bonequinhoda: Thanks for the comments.
