Xmas in February!

We received our "LIFE BY SILVER" hard cover books over the weekend and I'm happy to report all pre orders have been mailed out and they're on their way to you. As always, thank you so very much for the strong support.

This books is really something special to both, Stephen and Yours B. Truly; Silver wanted to show students and animation enthusiasts the method to his madness, not so much in words but with clear examples of his thought process in the form of many drawings. If a picture says a thousand words, this here book is a mouthful. I, on the other hand, wanted to design and publish a book of his doodles just because I love his work and like many of the artists who publish through Brandstudo Press, he is one of my closest friends. We are very excited about this little jewel. This book features a lot of the preliminary life drawing and sketches Stephen goes through in his approach at creating his unique character designs, I'm positive you will enjoy looking at this great artist's wide open brain.

Stephen will be attending Wondercon in San Francisco this coming weekend and he will have these hardbacks at his booth, so if you live in the San Francisco/Oakland area, drop by the Convention Centre and pick up a copy.

For those who won't make it to the convention, here's a link to where you can buy this book.

Hey Alberto!
Looks like I gotta add another book to the list. Looking forward to see you at the Calgary Con again. the only difference this year is that ill have a table displaying some work this year. I'm excited to just be part of it and bask in the energy of the place.
Lime flavored Tostitos, right?

I don't think they're sprinkling real lime juice on those tortilla chips but whatever chemical they use, sure does taste fine. Maybe it's real lime stone. Hmmn, tasty!

It will be great to see you guys again, can't wait!

Hey Alberto
I finished some Thor pages I have been working on. Its Thor based more closely on the Myth rather than the clean shaved blonde haired version. This was a great Learning curve for me as they all should, but I would be very grateful if you could just give a look over it and let me know what you think or where you see any issues. I'll except praise also :D
Thank you.

Hehe Thanks for the response man. I like that part about just drawing he ladies. I have enough of your work to prove it. :P
Yes those who have commented on the pages so far have done a great job pointing out the aspects I need to work on. The women and the baby definitely need work. Above all else I'm glad to hear you see "improvement" in my work though, my plan as obvious as it may sound is to move forward.
Who knows mabye Comics are too complicated for my simple brain too, but Im working on it. :)

Much Thanks and Respect.

Once in a while I get this question from comic fans or artists: "Why don't you do a comic" my response is always the same: "I want to learn how to draw first".

The way I see it, great comics take a lot of effort and knowledge to produce. You have the right attitude, now all you need to do is to match the skills and the passion to the attitude.

"Beware the lollipop of mediocrity; lick it once and you'll suck forever. - Brian Wilson
