Alberto Ruiz & Bobby Chiu Join Forces

Bobby and I are collaborating on an illustration for his new book: 'Ancient Japanese Sketches' Coming in December, in actuality, it's more like he's doing all the hard work, since this was an image I drew (and posted) a while ago. As the charming Alina Chau would say: "Bobby's work is Awesome & Cool!"

Bobby hails from Toronto, where he lives and works, he teaches digital painting at Sheridan College, in addition to giving lectures and classes, he heads the famous: "Toronto Subway Sketching Group" and also publishes quarterly books on drawing and digital painting.

He is currently showing his 'step-by-step' painting process on a couple of digital art message boards. I'm digging his unique take on that old image, can't wait to see it completed!

If you'd like to follow Bobby's progress on the 'Mayan Samurai', CLICK HERE or on the above image and stay tuned.

For more on this super talented man and his independent band of art mercenaries, check Bobby Chiu and Imaginism Studios' Website

Cheers!
-Alberto

By the way beautiful work I'm loving the new colors on the woman warrior!

Thanks for the comments, sorry for the long absence.

Thanks again, everyone!
