Frogger: A couple of friends (who shall remain nameless) spotted a place in Calgary called "Bongs & Such" They went in there to buy a bong but they left because they couldn't find the "such".

I had an incredible time, unfortunately I doctored the signs in Photoshop, sex with goats IS permitted, just as long as you carry the proper documentation, feeding them is prohibited though, Canada is a fine country, indeed.

One: Heh, heh! Too bad my days of pork eating are coming to an end, the Dr. says I have super high cholesterol.

Bonaia: yes, my friend! it is a great place, Disneyland for the soul. Tell your boss to sign up for next year's show so you too can come along, you'll love it.

I'm glad you had fun at the Calgary show and Banff! Hope to see you there again next year (I will be wearing my t-shirt)!

Thank you so much for looking me up and for the kind words. :)

Not to be all negative or anything...just a little detail that this is after all stiff actual wilderness in the world, yikes!

dudusquad: Canada IS cool, If I didn't love New York City the way I do I'd move to Canada in a heartbeat, I heard they have great national health plan.

Carla: I knew I was going to have a great time in Canada as soon as I got off the plane; the first thing I saw was a huge billboard that read: "Welcome to Calgary, Alberto" I thought to myself: 'What a great country, they were expecting me!"

. . . well, it actually read: 'Alberta', but that's close enough, right? :D

CandyMinx: True, we forget sometimes that we're in the fucking wilderness, where bears, mountain lions and other predators run the show. Bears, in particular are fed up with humans turning their territory into a fucking amusement park for japanese tourists.

On the first night of our trip to Banff I picked up a local newspaper, the headline read: "Grizzly # 71 attacks again' or something to that effect. Apparently bear attacks are so common the authorities know the perpetrators by their prison numbers, local bears are captured, tagged and released, I guess # 71 hasn't learned his lesson just yet.

Fiona: I meant every word, except for the 'good luck' part, that was just me being polite, with talent such as yours who needs luck. You are insanely good . . . and I meant that!

Happy to hear you had such a nice trip and that your first visit to Canada was good! It was nice seeing you at the expo. A couple of artist friends and I might do a table next year; I hope they have a bigger venue in 2007!

glad you liked it. I did a summer stint in Banff when I was younger. It's sort of a rights of passage for the youth of Canada (well quebecers anyways). I spent the summer loaded and homeless living in the park near the y. Damn it was a great summer! Next time you come up head due North and take a gander at montreal; the best canadian city in my opinion (Halifax being a close 2nd). Hope Les Crottes des Yeux are all better with a little Canadian Medication.

I have almost identical photos from my trip to Banff and Lake Louise. It creeped me out at first, like you'd stolen them. Nice retunes.
Didn't go to the steak house, but there was a nice vege cafe called the sunflower or something run by a crazy frenchman hidden in Banff, serving strogonoff for breakfast.

Nice illos by the way.
